As Harry (Pierce Brosnan) and Rachel (Linda Hamilton) hold a town meeting to warn the citizens of Dante's Peak to evacuate due to the impending eruption of the nearby volcano.  However, the warning comes too late as during the meeting the eruption starts, and Harry and Rachel are forced to make a run to rescue her kids before fleeing the mountain.
