Makeup artist Rick Baker won the inaugural Best Makeup Academy Award for what he accomplished in this scene: an impressive and painful transformation into a werewolf.

Jess (Olivia Hussey) goes up to check on Barb and Phyl (Margot Kidder and Andrea Martin) and finds a grisly sight. What follows is the only clear look at the killer the audience sees in the movie: A lone eye peering through the crack of the door.
